Once I get a new sewing machine{Mine is broken} I will make this!

This was fun and took less than ten minutes, but it transformed a boring leather journal into a vintage-looking, original creation.
Supplies list: leather-bound journal ($9.95 from Staples), 1.2mm precision screwdriver (can usually be found in a home tool kit, but a thick needle will do the trick), idea-ology “ornate plates” ($6.99 for a pack of 6 with 12 fasteners from Michaels).
[ The book plates are made by Tim Holtz of idea-ology. I’m in love with the vintage chic-grunge look! ]
Another altered picture frame, this time for sparklies! View the How to.
Lovely leather face masks. If you have a steady hand, and no need for permanence, feel free to make your version out of cardstock or any other specialty paper. Once again, use resin or high-gloss finishing spray for a longer lasting paper craft!
